Lumyra Energy at FuoriSalone 2026: the photovoltaic flooring at the heart of senzaFINE
13 April 2026
From the 20th to the 30th of April 2026, Lumyra Energy will be Main Partner of senzaFINE, beyond space limits, the installation designed by Simone Micheli Architectural Hero for INTERNI Materiae, as part of Milano Design Week 2026.
At the heart of the project, which brings together innovative design, cutting-edge architecture and sustainability, is our walkable photovoltaic flooring: a surface capable of generating clean energy directly from solar exposure, without compromising either aesthetics or function.
The senzaFINE Installation: architecture beyond boundaries
In the Cortile d'Onore of the Università degli Studi di Milano, senzaFINE, the installation designed by Simone Micheli, award-winning architect of international renown, will take shape. It interprets the Materiae theme by exploring space as an emotional tension capable of transcending every physical, perceptual and cultural boundary.
The structure is composed of several elements:
- A circular tower approximately 10 metres tall, made of white steel tubing with spiral rings, inviting visitors to enter, walk through and linger
- A central monolith clad in steel coils printed with custom graphics
- Two vertical video walls presenting two projects under development in Dubai in an immersive format: the Hubai aparthotel in Jumeirah Village Circle and the Penthouse on the 38th floor of Sensoria Tower at FIVE Luxe on Jumeirah Beach
- Plexiglass spheres and light effects that enrich the scenography
Completing the installation is Lumyra Energy's photovoltaic flooring.

The walkable photovoltaic floor: technology integrated into the project
Lumyra Energy's walkable photovoltaic flooring, positioned at the centre of the installation, is a glass surface with an anti-slip finish that generates electrical energy through integrated solar cells.
It was chosen for senzaFINE for three specific reasons:
- Sustainability: the photovoltaic floor transforms a passive surface into a productive one, with no visible additional systems required
- Design compatibility: the flooring integrates seamlessly into the project without compromising its aesthetic
- Conceptual coherence: it embodies the theme of the installation, a space that goes beyond its own limits, a surface that does more than it appears.
In a context of high cultural value such as FuoriSalone, the Lumyra product demonstrates how combining sustainability, design and architecture can create a work that is both aesthetically coherent and future-oriented.
The 3 key events

Simone Micheli Architectural Hero: the shared vision behind the collaboration

Simone Micheli Architectural Hero is an architecture and interior design studio with offices in Florence, Milan, Dubai, Rabat and Busan, founded in 2003 by Simone Micheli, an internationally renowned architect, and Roberta Colla, CEO of the studio.
With over twenty years of activity, the studio has completed projects worldwide, receiving international recognition including the Red Dot Award and the American Architectural Prize.
The hallmark of Simone Micheli's work has always been the same: a unique, identity-driven architecture with a strong environmental awareness. It is precisely this commitment to design sustainability that forms the thread connecting Simone Micheli's work to that of Lumyra Energy.
The collaboration for senzaFINE grew from this common ground: the conviction that sustainability, architecture and design can and must coexist.
Lumyra Energy: technology for the architecture of the future
Lumyra Energy's presence at FuoriSalone 2026 confirms a clear direction: to continue developing increasingly integrated, sustainable and future-oriented architectural solutions.
The walkable photovoltaic floor is just one of the tools through which we contribute to this change: Lumyra Energy's innovative photovoltaic solutions generate clean energy while integrating into commercial and industrial contexts without compromising the aesthetics of the building.
An approach that looks in the same direction as the architecture of the future: more sustainable materials and buildings that give back energy rather than simply consuming it.
The INTERNI exhibition-event is, for us, a starting point. We believe the conversation between architecture, design and sustainability must continue — and we at Lumyra Energy intend to remain part of it.
