The Lumyra photovoltaic fence transforms the traditional perimeter into a clean energy–generating asset. Designed for homes, offices, factories, and logistics facilities, it combines security, architectural elegance, and renewable energy in one innovative solution.
Manufactured from high-strength tempered laminated safety glass with integrated photovoltaic technology, Lumyra provides reliable protection and boundary definition while continuously generating clean electricity. By converting unused perimeter space into a productive energy surface, it helps increase on-site self-consumption, reduce energy costs, and lower carbon emissions.

Photovoltaic Fence
The perimeter is no longer a cost—it becomes a productive asset. Lumyra secures the site, defines operational spaces, and generates up to 160 W/m² of clean, renewable energy.

Customisable colouring for photovoltaic glass fencing
The coloured version of Lumyra's transparent photovoltaic glass combines clean energy generation with architectural expression. Fully customisable colour options allow each installation to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, transforming the fence into a distinctive design feature while maintaining high energy performance.

They generate even in low light
Every Lumyra module is available with transparency levels ranging from 0% to 80%, allowing each installation to be tailored to the project's architectural vision, privacy requirements, and energy-generation goals. Lower transparency maximises photovoltaic output while providing greater visual screening, whereas higher transparency preserves outward visibility and allows more natural light to pass through the entire perimeter.
Energy generation is not limited to direct sunlight. The modules also capture diffuse light, such as on cloudy or overcast days, as well as reflected light from surrounding surfaces including water, pavements, and nearby buildings. This ability to harvest multiple light sources ensures consistent energy production, high conversion efficiency, and reliable performance throughout the day and across a wide range of environmental conditions.

Product highlights
Triple tempered glass
8 mm glass + PVB + photovoltaic element + PVB + 8 mm glass, for a total thickness of 22.24 mm. A double-lamination structure combining mechanical strength with certified safety.

Total customisation
Transparency adjustable from 0% to 80% and aluminium profiles that are anodised, powder coated or lacquered. Colours are not limited to the RAL chart and include corten and micaceous effect.

Non flammable semiconductor
Unlike conventional panels, the integrated photovoltaic element is not flammable and provides superior passive protection even in the event of high temperatures or mechanical stress.

EPBT from 0.8 to 2 years
Photovoltaic glass pays back the energy used to produce it in under 2 years, compared with 4 years for a conventional panel. A concrete figure for the sustainability balance sheet.

Simplified, integrated installation
The system is designed to speed up installation, reducing time and site work. The fixing clamp is modular and adapts to different installation types. It already includes cable routing, avoiding additional work, for a tidy, safe and durable result.

FAQs
What is a photovoltaic fence?
A photovoltaic fence is a perimeter enclosure system in tempered glass that integrates a photovoltaic semiconductor inside the pane. It keeps its function of protecting and defining the area and, at the same time, generates clean electricity. It turns a passive barrier into an active surface.
How much energy does a photovoltaic fence generate?
Output depends on the transparency of the glass. A Lumyra module measuring W 1215 × H 1500 mm generates from 292 Wp with opaque glass (0% transparency, 160 W/m²) down to 64 Wp with glass at 80% transparency (35 W/m²). Over a 50 metre perimeter with opaque modules 1500 mm high, more than 11 kWp are installed.
Does a photovoltaic fence generate in low light too?
Yes. The CdTe technology integrated into the glass captures and converts into energy not only direct sunlight but also diffuse light and light reflected from paving and adjacent buildings. The fence stays productive even in low light conditions.
Which layers make up the Lumyra photovoltaic fence?
The composition is: 6 mm tempered glass, 1.52 mm PVB film, 3.2 mm CdTe photovoltaic element, 1.52 mm PVB film, 6 mm tempered glass. Total thickness is 18.24 mm. It is a self-cleaning triple tempered glass structure with double lamination, non flammable.
Is the photovoltaic fence customisable?
Yes. The glass can be produced with different degrees of transparency, from 0% to 80%, and in a wide range of colours. Aluminium profiles are available anodised, powder coated or lacquered, with colours not limited to the RAL chart, including special finishes such as corten and micaceous effect.
What warranty does the photovoltaic fence have?
Linear power is guaranteed at 87% for 30 years.
